Our kitchen and bakery staff start from scratch daily, providing fresh, local flavors worthy of your celebrations and special events. Local and sustainable food. Our short growing season means that every sprig of dill, every pea shoot and pepper and tomato, every cherry and apple is a cause for celebration. All year long, we work with local farmers raising animals for meat and dairy in a sustainable way, and growing grain organically.
We believe in letting the ingredients speak for themselves. From the day Common Roots opened in 2007, we’ve categorized each purchase and are very proud of our local, organic and fair-trade sourcing. Operating in an environmentally responsible way. All our food waste is composted – since opening, we’ve diverted hundreds of thousands of pounds of waste from landfills. We provide compostable or reusable serviceware for all events. Supporting local farmers means that the food has less distance to travel from farm to plate – making it fresher for you AND better for the environment.
