I wish I had my parents’ wedding day captured on film. I would have loved to see how they interacted with each other on the day they celebrated their union. How nervous with excitement they were when they spoke their vows; how they arrived to the church; the look on my grandfather’s face as he walked my mother down the aisle. ​ Moments such as these are valuable family histories because as generations move along, memories of past events evaporate. This is why wedding films are important and why I love creating them.

Hey, I am Daria Opendik, the founder of GoDaria Films. I’ve started my company in 2018 when I had my second son and decided to film my kids as they grow up. Over the years families and couples have come to me for my creative approach to capturing the most cherished moments of their lives and preserving memories in my films.

In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks).
