From a young age, I was constantly foraging flowers from the woods and raiding my mother’s colorful zinnia beds. After ditching a career in political science, I decided to wake up and smell the roses (bad pun intended) and took up graduate work in horticulture at UMass Amherst and landscape design studies at Radcliffe.
