When I was in college and life would get tough around midterms and finals my friend and I would talk about opening up a flower shop instead of continuing through the demands of getting a degree. We felt that flowers would make anyone happy and that is what we wanted; to bring more happiness to people’s lives. Alas, I decided to take the college graduate path and I became a physical therapist.

Fast-forward 20+ years and I continue to work part-time as a PT in home health care where seniors are our primary clients. I have been able to provide clients with the ability to heal their physical deficits. What I have not been able to do through physical therapy is heal their souls. I found that every time I bring flower arrangements to an assisted living facility EVERYONE smiles. I have now come full circle and am living my dream of bringing happiness and a smile to those for which I create floral designs.
