Hi, I’m Michael! I like bikes, bourbon, banter, and (camera) bokeh. I also like laughing loudly, dancing, wearing tank tops, and being a total dork. Since 2011, I’ve captured all the feels for close to 300 couples across Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas, and even Guatemala and Hawaii.
It was pretty funny because, when I was in film school, I did not know anything about wedding videos! After I graduated from the Academy of Art University in 2012, I received some wedding companies looking for videographers & editors in San Francisco. During that time, I crazily learning and filming weddings every weekend in the Bay Area and Napa Valley wine country. By doing almost 50 weddings per year, it brought me so much experience for my future style built-up. In 2015, I started my own business as Moontage Films!

When it comes to wedding filmmaking the foundation of my work is based on the couple, the vibe of the day, and taking cinematic storytelling to the next level. My 10 years of experience in the video production world has really molded me into the videographer/editor I am today and helped me to understand what it takes to tell a great story through film. Ultimately what drives my passion are the couples that I work with.

We are a husband and wife team. We create wedding films that capture a moment in time, not only of your wedding day, but also your story together. We strive to serve our couples and create something for them that they will cherish for decades to come.
After a decade of producing action sports content internationally, we decided to pursue cinematic wedding videography in Spring 2013. We have filmed over 200 weddings and have won many awards. We have filmed together for over 15 years.

This fixation on love culminated in my sophomore year in high school when I met the love of my life. We married nine years later.
