I’ve been a henna artist since I was a teenager. I grew up with henna. My mom, Shakun Maheshwari of Shakuntala Design, was the first henna artist in MN. We used to attend so many local fairs and shows, and had to coax people to give henna a try in the 80’s and early 90’s. My grandmother, my sister, my nieces, have all been a part of our henna booths – and it is truly a family tradition for us.

We believe that beauty is as unique to a woman as her fingerprint, and we take great pride in helping each woman see her own personal beauty shine bright.

I’m the founder of WarPaint International Beauty Agency. We’re a family-owned husband/wife-operated company with a large team of Hair & Makeup Artisans in Minneapolis & St. Paul. We also operate a team in New York City and soon to be in Chicago. WPI is an agent of talent that can accommodate single brides to large parties and multi-day events. We have extensive experience with women of color and ethnic clients including Celtic weddings and South East Asian Indian bridal parties.

I am artistic by nature with a very down to earth personality but with flare. I know I am blessed in life, I love what I do, I am in a great industry with wonderful people surrounding me, I love being a part of special events, making a difference in client’s lives and making you feel the very best you can both inside and out!
